Win Rate (อัตราการชนะ)
Win Rate is the percentage of your closed trades that finish with a profit, out of all the trades you closed.
Win Rate shows how often your trades end in profit. It is written as a percentage and only counts trades that have been closed.
Formula:
Win Rate = (number of winning trades ÷ total number of closed trades) × 100
Example
Say you closed 20 trades. 12 made a profit and 8 made a loss.
Win Rate = (12 ÷ 20) × 100 = 60%
The other 40% were losing trades.
Why it matters
Win Rate is one way to look at how your trading plan is working. But it does not tell you how much you win or lose on each trade, so it should never be read alone.
Here is a simple case. You win 4 trades and lose 6, so your Win Rate is 40%. If each win makes 30 USD and each loss costs 10 USD, you earn 120 USD and lose 60 USD. The result is a net gain of 60 USD, even with a low Win Rate.
Now reverse it. You win 6 trades of 10 USD and lose 4 trades of 30 USD. That is 60 USD won and 120 USD lost, a net loss of 60 USD, even with a 60% Win Rate.
Common beginner mistake
Many beginners chase a high Win Rate and close winning trades too early while letting losers run. Win Rate should be viewed together with the Risk/Reward ratio and the size of your average win and average loss. A small number of trades can also give a misleading Win Rate.
