Privacy policy

This policy explains what information TraderSite keeps about you, what we use it for, and how you can manage it.
What we collect
If you only read the site, we do not ask for personal information. Our server may briefly log technical details such as your IP address and browser type to keep the system secure.
If you click a link to a broker, we record which page you came from, the time, your browser type and a hash of your IP address (it cannot be turned back into your IP) so we can count clicks.
If you create an account, we keep:
- Your email address, display name and chosen language
- Your password as a one-way hash. Our team never sees your actual password
- Your last sign-in time and the number of failed sign-in attempts, to block password guessing
If you use the trading journal, we keep the trades you enter or that the system imports, such as symbol, lot size, prices, profit or loss and your notes. Only you can see this data.
If you connect an MT4/MT5 account, we keep the account number, server name and platform. Your investor password is passed to MetaApi only to set up the connection. We do not store it in our database. An investor password is read-only: it cannot open or close trades or withdraw money.
How we use it
- To let you sign in and use the trading journal
- To import trade history from accounts you connect
- To email you when you ask to reset your password
- To count clicks to brokers, which is how affiliate commission is calculated
- To keep the system secure and fix problems
We do not sell your data, and we do not send member data or journal data to AI services.
Outside services
- MetaApi, which connects MT4/MT5 accounts. It is used only when you connect an account yourself, under MetaApi's own privacy policy
- Our hosting provider, which stores the site and database
- Our email provider, which sends password reset emails
- Brokers: when you follow a link to a broker, the broker handles your data under its own policy
Cookies
We use only essential cookies: a sign-in cookie and an anti-forgery cookie that protects forms. We do not currently use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. If we add any, we will update this policy first.
How long we keep data
Account and journal data are kept for as long as you have an account. Password reset links expire after a short time. Click data is used as overall statistics.
Your choices
- View and edit your trades at any time
- Delete individual trades yourself
- Disconnect an MT4/MT5 account from the account connection page; importing stops immediately
Age
This site is for people aged 18 and over. We do not accept members under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy, the updated date at the top of this page will change.
