Balance (ยอดเงินในบัญชี)

Balance is the money in your trading account from deposits, withdrawals and closed trades only. It does not include profit or loss on open positions.

Balance is the amount of money in your trading account that counts only completed events. It changes when you deposit, withdraw, or close a trade, and also when fees such as commission or swap are charged. While a trade is still open, its profit or loss is not added to Balance.

Simple example

You deposit $1,000. Your Balance is $1,000.

You open a trade, and the price moves against you so that the trade shows a floating loss of $50.

  • Balance: still $1,000, because the trade is not closed.
  • Equity: $950, which is Balance plus the floating loss.

You then close the trade. The loss is now realized, so your Balance becomes $950.

If the trade had instead shown a floating profit of $50, Balance would also stay at $1,000 until you closed it. After closing, Balance would be $1,050.

Why it matters

Balance tells you what your account is worth if you ignore all open trades. It is useful for tracking deposits, withdrawals and results of closed trades.

Common beginner mistake

Many beginners look only at Balance while a trade is open and think their account is safe. A large floating loss may not show in Balance at all. To see your real situation, also check Equity and Margin, which include open positions.
